Here at Wagly Veterinary Hospital & Pet Campus, our top priority is always to give your pets quality care with a smile. The only reason we are able to bring you and your pets top-notch veterinary care is because of our dedicated teams located at our four campuses. Keep reading to learn more about the veterinary experts who are steadfastly caring for your pets each and every day:

Dr. Megan Bystrom: Brand New to Blossom Hill

Dr. Bystrom joined our team in February 2021 and has already made her mark as a valued member of the Wagly team. Specializing in soft tissue surgery, her favorite thing about working at the Blossom Hill campus is her “hard-working team keeping the wheels turning and taking wonderful care of our patients.” When she’s not keeping your pets in great health, she’s partaking in her second passion: escape rooms. She has done almost 100 and is always looking for a new challenge.

Dr. Ashley Hopkins: Veterinarian to the Irvine/Tustin Campus

Dr. Hopkins has been practicing medicine at our Tustin campus since 2019, and we don’t know where we’d be without her. She is a general practice veterinarian and loves the chance to flex her surgery muscles―especially when it comes to soft tissue surgery. Dr. Hopkins loves working at Wagly because the entire staff is incredibly caring, considerate, and compassionate to all our pets and their families and focuses on the individual needs of each patient. In her spare time, Dr. Hopkins is an avid bird watcher and even runs her own bird-watching club where she leads groups of people on different walks to check out local birds.

Dr. Tarik Saouli: New to Irvine/Tustin

Although Dr. Saouli has only been working at our Tustin campus for a couple of weeks, his general practice knowledge and skills have already helped Wagly dogs and cats get the best veterinary care. He loves working at Wagly because we have a very strong, supportive team, and that teamwork filters over into everything we do. He also likes that we have well-equipped facilities. Dr. Saouli speaks three languages, and we can’t wait to see what he does as part of the Wagly team.

Dr. Lori Stillmaker: Bringing Kindness to Lake Hills

Dr. Stillmaker joined the team at Lake Hills about two months ago as a general practice DVM. So far she loves that everyone at the Bellevue campus is so kind and easy to work with. As a child and a young adult, Dr. Stillmaker practiced Kokondo karate and Kokondo Jukido and was one belt away from earning a black belt.

Dr. Kristy Surbida: Our Orange County Veterinarian

Dr. Surbida has been with Wagly since July 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic) and works at both our Tustin and Rancho Santa Margarita campuses. Her specialty is preventive care and she thinks it is incredibly important to educate clients on the costs, realities, and expectations of what it means to own a pet. So far, her favorite thing about working at Wagly is all the members of the staff―from the play coaches to the client service representatives, managers, groomers, and technicians who make her job more pleasurable to do. Dr. Surbida loves taking an entire day to drive somewhere special and have a “Food Adventure” to try something new and tasty.

Dr. Heidi Watkins: Keeping RSM Strong Since 2019

Dr. Watkins has been an integral part of our Rancho Santa Margarita team since 2019 and she has a special interest in feline medicine, exotic animals, and nutraceutical therapies. She loves that so many members of the staff know regular pet guests as if they were their own. Dr. Watkins is currently pursuing certification in Traditional Chinese Medicine for veterinary application to bring herbal, food, and touch therapy options to her patients.

We honestly can’t say enough about our veterinary team at Wagly Veterinary Hospital & Pet Campus. Whether it’s time for a general checkup or your pet needs urgent care, our team is here and ready to help. To learn more, visit our website to find the campus near you.
